Ghanaian SMEs Gear Up for East African Expansion: Capacity Building Workshop Equips Exporters for AfCFTA Success
The National AfCFTA Coordinating Office (NCO), in partnership with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, convened a high-impact Capacity Building Workshop for 40 Ghanaian enterprises poised to enter the East African markets of Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania.
Building on insights from the recent Market Entry Expedition, the workshop provided targeted support to help SMEs refine their competitive edge and develop actionable strategies for successful integration into the East African Community (EAC).
Participants engaged in practical sessions covering:
• Market insights and opportunities
• Logistics and supply chain solutions
• Market entry strageties
• Export financing mechanisms and payment solutions
• Navigating non-tariff measures (NTMs) and regulatory hurdles
This initiative marks another milestone in Ghana’s journey to deepen intra-African trade, empower SMEs, and unlock new growth opportunities under the AfCFTA framework. Together, we are shaping a future where Ghanaian products thrive across Africa’s vibrant markets.
